Rachel Bayne Photography bio picture
  • Welcome to Rachel Bayne Photography…

I have loved photography since I was at least in the 3rd grade and got my first camera for my birthday that year. I took that little 210 film camera everywhere I went and have been capturing the world around me ever since. I love being a photographer. From weddings to families to senior portraits... it's all so much fun! If you have a question, click on the Contact button above. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I do. -Rachel Bayne

Kerri and Jesse: August 8, 2008

Kerri and Jesse were married at the beautiful Lord Hill Farms in the town of Snohomish, Washington on 8-8-08! Their wedding flowers were absolutely amazing… I’ve forgotten the name of the florist but will post it as soon as I find out. The sparklers at the end of the night was a fun send off as Kerri and Jesse got into a vintage Bentley and were on their way to Maui!

Texture: Clothing with a conscience

So I thought I would post some photos from a recent fashion show that I photographed for Bellingham’s Texture Clothing. Created by Teresa Remple, Texture Clothing’s designs are made from textiles such as hemp, soy and organic cotton. Not only is Texture earth friendly, but the clothing is stylish and made to fit real women. Check out Textures website: www.textureclothing.com

Croft and Candice: August 2, 2008

I keep saying this but I have been so lucky to have such amazing couples to work with and Croft and Candice were no exception! It was obvious throughout the day just how in love with each other they are. Both their families were a blast to work with and made a very long day a lot of fun. Andy at Whatcom Sound did an amazing job as the DJ. Each and every song was fun and he MC’d the reception without making it all about him.

-This is their first look before the ceremony. You can see their family back in the “cry room” watching them.

– I Think this little guy had way too much sugar!– It’s unusual to have a special mother daughter dance but I’m so happy they had one. I was almost in tears as Candice clung to her mom as they danced.– One of the couple’s friends, with his groupies, does his rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. So Funny!!!– Croft’s nephew was break dancing all night! He is totally going to be on “So You Think You Can Dance” someday.– Check out Candice’s dad dipping her mom in the background.– Last dance….

Jake and Sarah: July 20, 2008

Sarah’s countdown to her wedding finally came to an end! She was so excited to walk down the isle and marry Jake. Their wedding was held at beautiful Tail Skid Meadows in Custer , Washington. The location has an amazing view of Mount Baker and made for some beautiful photos. Both Jake and Sarah’s families were so much fun to work with! Everything about the day was absolutely beautiful.

Jon and Janice: July 18, 2008

I’ve been really lucky to have such amazing couples hire me. Jon and Janice are no exception. After their engagement session (where my assistant lost, and then found, Jon’s car keys) I was really looking forward to their wedding! The night before we met at Janice’s sister’s dairy farm in Sumas for a photo of her immediate family. I can’t imaging how Janice’s parent’s remember all the names of their 32 grand kids! The wedding day began at Boulevard Park in Bellingham, then to a church in Lynden for the ceremony, then back to Bellingham for the reception at The Bellwether. I’ve never been surrounded by so many Dutch Canadians in my life! Thanks for the awesome day!
