  • Welcome to Rachel Bayne Photography…

I have loved photography since I was at least in the 3rd grade and got my first camera for my birthday that year. I took that little 210 film camera everywhere I went and have been capturing the world around me ever since. I love being a photographer. From weddings to families to senior portraits... it's all so much fun! If you have a question, click on the Contact button above. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I do. -Rachel Bayne

Borin and Nicole: April 2nd and 3rd, 2010

Borin and Nicole’s wedding was a two day event. The first day celebrated Borin’s Cambodian heritage with traditional Cambodian ceremonies, which in Cambodia would take place on different days. One ceremony included a blessing from three monks which was really fun for me to witness and photograph. One of the coolest parts of being a photographer is all the different cultures I get to be a part of.

The second day was the traditional American ceremony at Annie Wright School in north Tacoma. I grew up in Tacoma but have never been inside. It is such a beautiful historic building. After the ceremony we all headed over to Pioneer Park Pavilion in Puyallup for the reception. If you need a big space for your wedding, the pavilion is a great place. My favorite part of the evening is when a “dance off” started. I love photographing action! Thanks to Borin and Nicole for a fun event!

Vanessa and Shawana: Engagement

Vanessa and Shawana are getting married this News Year’s Eve and I just can’t wait! For their engagement session I met them down in Puyallup at Casa Mia Italian Restaurant where they had their first date. From there we hit some train tracks and then a stop at Decoursey Park where a bunch of ducks and other birds were sorely disappointed when we didn’t have any bread. Vanessa and Shawana are so adorable together and I can’t wait to ring in the new year with them!

Jimmy and Paula: March 6, 2010

Jimmy and Paula could not have asked for a better day for their March wedding… The weather was unbelievably warm and sunny, not your typical Seattle winter day. Having such a sweet couple and their friendly wedding party (except Duncan!) made the day even better. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!
