  • Welcome to Rachel Bayne Photography…

I have loved photography since I was at least in the 3rd grade and got my first camera for my birthday that year. I took that little 210 film camera everywhere I went and have been capturing the world around me ever since. I love being a photographer. From weddings to families to senior portraits... it's all so much fun! If you have a question, click on the Contact button above. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I do. -Rachel Bayne

Molly and Ben: May 22, 2010

Molly and Ben’s wedding at Fort Worden was FANTASTIC! First of all, I had never been to Fort Worden and was surprised by how beautiful it is. I could have done portraits of them for hours in all the beautiful and rustic spots around the fort. The location for the ceremony was a 10 minute walk up a hill to a beautiful bluff over looking the water. Thankfully the sprinkling held off until just after the ceremony was over. The reception was complete with a band, made up of family members of Bens’, and his young cousin did an absolutely amazing Michael Jackson interpretation. Congratulations to this awesome couple!

Nicole Schleich - Rachel, you are an amazing photographer! I can’t believe you made those old bunkers look so beautiful! I can’t wait to see the rest.

Mom - Hey Rach: Great job as usual. The area sure lent itself to taking some very unique photos. Beautiful setting and what a darling couple. I love the ring shot -CLEVER and the gorgeous cake – WOW. Everyone was having a blast – you certainly captured the mood.

Carrie and Josh: May 16, 2010

After getting back from Alaska late on Saturday night, I had Carrie and Josh’s wedding the next morning at 11 am. I think the first time I met Carrie was when she was a student at my alma mater, Washington State University. (Go Cougs!) I was so thrilled when she asked me to photograph her Salish Lodge wedding! I hadn’t met Josh before but it was quickly evident just how much he loves Carrie. I hope that love continues forever!

Josh gave Carrie this note before the ceremony…The flower girl and ring barer wouldn’t walk down the aisle so Josh went and got them!Carrie’s brothers think they’re cool…

Josh’s brother gives his toast…Carrie’s maid of honor, Emily, gives her toast and won a bet with her boyfriend because she didn’t cry!Carrie’s dad gets emotional during the father/daughter dance.Carrie gets Josh with their cake……and Josh gets her back!

Brian and Kelsey: May 14, 2010

I met Brian about two years ago just after he accepted a job at Red Robin waiting tables. (Red Robin is often my office away from home where I edit photos) He and his high school sweetheart, Kelsey, had recently moved to Bellingham from Anchorage, Alaska. Brian has a magnetic personality… always a smile on his face and always with something funny to say, so it didn’t take long to get to know him. He proposed to Kelsey in 2009 and long story short, they hired me to do their wedding in Anchorage. I couldn’t have been more honored! Brian is a lucky guy… not only is Kelsey absolutely gorgeous, she’s an awesome woman who keeps him in check!

The wedding was fantastic. Truly. It was cold and windy but Kelsey and her bridesmaids powered through the portraits and ceremony. Brian’s groomsmen were as funny and chatty as he is, which always makes my job more fun. Brian smiled the entire day…. and every time I looked at Kelsey, she was beaming as well.

Thank you SO much for allowing me to photograph your wedding. The trip to Alaska was my first and I can’t wait to go back! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!

First look…The best Alaska has to offer? ๐Ÿ™‚LOVE that Brian and his guys were wearing cool shoes!I was photographing the guys and looked over and saw the girls huddling together to stay warm.

Brian tries to hold it together as he watches Kelsey walk down the aisle…Sometimes when its cold, the rings don’t fit…It was too windy to light the unity candles outside so they did it inside just following the ceremony.I love this shot of Brian photographing Kelsey as she dances with her dad…Kelsey’s cousin and Brian slide toward Kelsey while playing air guitars!Congratulations!

Brian&Kelsey - Ahhhh…. Rachel, your amazing! You have such an amazing eye, and so creative with your photos. Thank you SO much for making the trip to AK, it means the world to us. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Thanks a million! ๐Ÿ™‚
Love,
Brian and Kelsey

Joy & Donna - These are really beautiful…can’t wait for our day…see you Aug. 7

Nicole Medcalf - Rachel,
I have to tell you something quite funny about this wedding…you were shooting it only about a block from the house I grew up in!!!! The Bayshore Clubhouse was my employer as well and I have many fond memories of walking around that pond (careful of the creeky boards). Hope you enjoyed my stomping grounds!!!!!
